But it looks like the best Cree has for lightbulbs is 80 lumens per watt... do you know when they will be using the 231 lumens per watt in lightbulbs?

 

Or is there another company that has a greater than 118 lumens per watt light bulb that you can actually buy?

Not sure. There's always a gap between what you can buy and what has been demonstrated in the lab, because you need robust products and manufacturing techniques that allow for reliable mass production.
