Ophiolite Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 How slow could I run would be more accurate. When I did jog, then my best 10k time was 42 minutes. Sprinting was not on my agenda: I ran to forget, and running for less than a minute was not long enough for that.
Primarygun Posted October 30, 2004 Author Posted October 30, 2004 10k time was 42 minutes. Quite fast. I haven't run for a very long distance
Gilded Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I'm a terrible runner. I'm going to die when I go to army.
blike Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 It's been so long since I've timed myself running I wouldn't even try and take a guess. Now that I think about it, it's been forever since I've ran period
Perennial Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I'm somehow still finding the pain of running enjoyable ... 10ks around 34-37 mins.
galaxygirl Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 I can run really fast (faster than my father who used to be in the army) but only for very short distances. Though like blike, I havn't run in a while.
5614 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 i sprint at one speed distance run at another! it varies every time, if im doing a set distance in a competitative environment i will run as fast as i can! whereas running to get the bus i run as fast as i can in the distance between myself and the bus stop (to maximise chance of getting the bus). plus i havent timed myself running for ages so im not really sure! + it varies with distance.
coquina Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 It depends on what's chasing me! Seriously, I have never been able to run, even when I was a kid. I walk fast though - usually walk 3 miles a day for exercise.
Cap'n Refsmmat Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I can run fast for a short time only, since my asthma wrecks my endurance.
Mad Mardigan Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I quit running after high school, all of the running I had to do for training burned me out on it. The only sprinting I do is for my car at the end of the day.
YT2095 Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I can`t run anymore (disabled). but I love to walk for miles, even though I regret for days afterwards (a bit like drinking! LOL )
gene Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 I jog regularly, usually once a week. Well, i think how fast you can run, something got to do with your psychology/ mentality/ determination. If you think that you are very energetic and so, is able to complete in whatever time you set for yourself. On the other hand, if you are pessimistic, you'll be likely to give up. Well, the more you train, the faster you can run.
Fellowes Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I can 1o metres in 1.8 seconds. 30 metres in 4.33 seconds and 1.5 miles in 8 mins and 40 seconds. I'm an average runner, I'm still youthful. I train for hockey.
c dawg Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 i'm faster than fellowes in the 10m sprint by 0.01 of a second. kicked his ass
Dave Posted November 2, 2004 Posted November 2, 2004 I can't really run very fast at all. Too much beer, I'm afraid.
ydoaPs Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 i am quite slow. i did the 400 meter in 70 seconds.
Fellowes Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 cdawg, sure you ran the 10m 0.01 sec faster than i did, but i believe i ran the loop a whole minute faster one time round. lol
c dawg Posted November 3, 2004 Posted November 3, 2004 it wasn't a whole minute and whoopy do the loop doesn't mean didly shit
c dawg Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 i did i remember it well. for some reason i had a shake before we ran and you did not notice me make it or drink it. and that really slowed me down cause you know what they do when you don't eat food with it and then i ran a mile and a half on top of that.
Auburngirl05 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 I'm kind of an exercise fanatic, so I run every day...when I'm just doing a short distance I can do a mile in about seven minutes flat without pushing too hard, but when I'm doing distances I keep it to 7.5 minute miles, I think it's about 8 miles an hour...I don't know the conversions off the top of my head for those that are used to metrics, sorry.
Jake712 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 mile in 6:20 2 years ago... don't know how long it would take me now... but I can sprint much better than I can run long distances
