Primarygun Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 Why do hydrogen chloride dissolve in water gives the ionization of hydrogen ion? And then why does the ion combine with water molecule to ionize to form hydronium ion? What's the difference between oxidation-reduction reaction and displacement reaction?
ed84c Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 1. The hydordgen ion is already ionized as it is in an ionic bond.
budullewraagh Posted October 31, 2004 Posted October 31, 2004 sorta...it's all relative to your opinion of an ionic bond
