I hope this site can help me understand human genetics.

Human egg donation is fairly new, 1983. I can't find a lot of information of genetic pull. Here is my story and question.

I am too old to use my 40 something eggs. The IVF ( in vitro fertilization) has to report unsuccessful attempts to the government, making their practice not as good. So a lot of doctors won't attempt IVF after a certain age and recommend egg donors.

So here is my question: 1) Is there a dominate sex, meaning the gene pull. Are there specific parts of the father or mother that can dominate? 2) If so, in looking for a donor other then ethnic back ground that is close to yours (never the exact same) is there a dominate feature that will be passed on. 3) Is there a study about this? 4) If the shape of my head (female) is square and the donor is oblong and father is square, what are the changes of pulling the oblong face? 5) Should I find someone with a square shape?

So the important question here is, A) Is there a dominate feature that I should look for in an egg donor that I have and she should have?

Here are secondary questions if anyone is interested. If the father's (soon to be parent) mother's family has mental illness can this be a possibility that is can show up in the unborn child? Any knowledge is welcome.

Thanks
