Dleger13 Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 (edited) Sorry i couldn't do this in a poll, I have one too many questions lol I need to conduct a survey as part of my graduation project at my high school. The more people that can answer and help me out the better! Simple yes or no answers will suffice (except for the last question, obviously, a simple guess is all that's needed). 1. Do you support the government funding of animal tests in the United States? 2. Within the last decade, do you feel animal testing has benefited the United States? 3. Do you support cosmetic animal testing in the United States? 4. What percentage of animal tests conducted in the United States do you think are carried out by cosmetic companies? Thank You! iNow Posted December 10, 2011 Posted December 10, 2011 1 - Yes 2 - Yes 3 - Depends on circumstances and study conditions. Not completely a "no," but a "yes" with very clear caveats 4 - Less than 10%

MichaelPenn Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 (edited) 1. Do you support the government funding of animal tests in the United States? No, I do not. There are other alternatives and more suitable resources available to reduce the negative impact of science and medicine on life at large. There are also more effective testing methods out there. See: Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine; Johns Hopkins Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing. 2. Within the last decade, do you feel animal testing has benefited the United States? I feel as though animal testing has been used as a part of the process of developing things that have benefited us, but that the same developments could have been made using alternatives to animal testing. 3. Do you support cosmetic animal testing in the United States? Absolutely not! 4. What percentage of animal tests conducted in the United States do you think are carried out by cosmetic companies? I believe it is around 20%. Edited January 3, 2012 by Michael Kovich

It is an enormous market, and constantly developing new products, so testing should logically be huge too.
John Cuthber Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Dleger13, do you realise that 95% of the world doesn't live in the US?
