Hello smile.gif

I am new to this forum so wanted to begin my introducing myself!

I am a student in the UK in the 2nd year of her Genetics BSc degree. I thought I might join this forum to have some general genetics-based conversations with like-minded people!

At the moment, I'm applying for a placement in Cambridge where I'd be studying the protein sequence analysis of mouse genomes! Very exciting, indeed!

Has anyone here taken part in any lab work based around mouse genome analysis? I would love to hear about it!

Well, you can only see the genes while the cell is being devided, we add some colors to see it, but I doubt that will be done, it takes a long time and the results might look like nothing, we get a clear analysis very rarely.

My comment was directed at Nassar´s post. Specifically:

Well, you can only see the genes while the cell is being devided,

Which does not make a lot of sense. While I do work on the genomics/postgenomics field I tend to either work with bacteria or (oddly) human samples rather than mice. If you have got any specific questions or musings feel free to start a discussion, though.
