Hi Everyone,

How do you derive a concentration from a calibration curve ?

suppose if you have two sets of absorbance data ....

The data i have is

Conc mg/L

0

100

500

1000

1500

1750

2000

Absorbance

0 0

0.04 0.05

0.16 0.20

0.40 0.46

0.61 0.60

0.69 0.705

0.86 0.80

I know that the concentration would be on x axis, and absorbance on y and would plot both of each duplicate pair of values, but then how would I derive a concentration from it ? :(

You should look into curve fitting. Also more than two values to properly calculate averages and standard errors (or deviations) would be useful...
