I'm trying to remove the vocals of a fan-made song for a school extra credit project. Inverting the right channel is not working at all. Is there any better way for this song? (Song is attached)

Try using another program.

Inverting a channel is a third of the process; first you filter out the vocal spectrum and then you have to add left + inverted right. And will not work that well if the voice in both channels has different tonality or marked amplitude differences.

If the music portion is similar in both channels, results will be worse.

The best attempt is with voice equally present in both channels and music well stereo separated.

A differential amplifier is the proper circuit to do it.

Voice + music left -(voice + music right) - some voice spectrum --->~ some music + little voice.

Realizing what software that remove vocals from sounds really does help you know that perfect results are impossible (exception to some cases)

They don't remove vocals magically .. they recognize the vocals (Step 1), and then pad them (Step 2)
