Weirdmaskman Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 An aircraft has a wing area 50cm square. If the velocity of the air over the upper surface of the wings is 150m/s and that over the lower surface, 140m/s during a horizontal flight. What is the net lift force on the wing? (density of air = 1.29kg/m cube)
insane_alien Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 use bernoulli's equation to calculate the pressure difference. You can start by assuming that the free stream velocity is 140m/s. you can assume anything for the freestream pressure.
