thomma Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 During the formation of a solar system do the planets manage to form before the star ignites? Would the bubbles blown from new stars and the solar wind not blow gas and dust away if planets hadn't already formed?

From what I've read most sources indicate planets had already began to form by the time the sun started radiating more energy than it received from gravitational collapse.
