OK, Diphantus was fairly close. Newton was closer. Yours i.e. "-10.86902388503848+14.01061653862827 = 3.14159265358979323846264338327950288419716939937510..." is wrong. Also, theirs are ratios, rather than sums which makes them more useful

As Klaynos said, the numbers weren't just picked out of the air.
