yaik7a Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 I was wondering if any of you knew about any recent studies on QHD and their results. Also I have been reading about superfluid, and wondering if it is possible to create artificial superfluid that would have productive uses ( I could really only think about self applying lubricant). Would this hypothetical superfluid be expensive or too unstable?
swansont Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Superfluid liquid helium is fairly expensive to get and maintain — any material it lubricated would have to be at or below the LHe lambda point.
imatfaal Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 What is the LHe Lambada Point? That's where liquid helium gets up and dances -the lambada the LHe Lambda point is the temperature below which it behaves as a superfluid - hyperphysics super-fluidity
