hypervalent_iodine Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Green chemistry is a more recent movement in industrial and lab scale chemistry that essentially aims to promote sustainable methods that use and produce little in the way of toxic compounds. An ideal 'green' reaction would be something that requires minimum energy input, generates minimum waste and uses benign reagents.
