Phi for All Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I had always assumed the kings horse's were held in a strictly observational role whilst the king's men actually implemented the reconstruction process The horses got top billing in that project, but since glue isn't specifically mentioned, I suppose they might have used some royal duct tape. Men to unroll the tape, horse's teeth to rip the piece off....
Xittenn Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I think they were actually horse-men in Alice in Wonderland . . . .
Joatmon Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 (edited) Since there is a little poetry coming out, here is a little autobiographical attempt from me:- Prepared to kill? Standing still, I feel my heartbeat Conscious of the power I'm holding; Sub-machine gun held at ready, Loaded now and set for action. Then I see a man before me Crouched in menace weapon holding, But he's still, he hasn't seen me. Slowly raise and sight my weapon, Ease the the safety catch full forward, Gently, gently, gently squeezing Let the weapon choose the instant That it starts to fire its death stream. A short burst of three should do it, Cut him down at that short distance. But he stands, ignores my bullets, Doesn't drop or scream for mother. And I'm pleased he's made of plywood, Paper picture pasted to it. In my heart the wish that never Will I have to kill a human. Edited March 20, 2012 by Joatmon

CaptainPanic Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I guess this thread was very urgent... my goodness, now that there's a place to write it, the poetry comes out in a hurry! Btw, nice poem Lala - did you write that yourself? Personally, I've gone up to, and over, my coffee optimum. I'm in a freefall on the other side of caffeination... wonder how deep I can fall. Only dinner can save me now.

Phi for All Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 No one should have to put up with people who put empty boxes back in the cupboard.
Xittenn Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Realistically speaking the actions of trees are like God crying backwards--or Zeus whatever meets your budget constraint! I am a pseudorandom noise generator, not quite unlike the arm . . . .

CaptainPanic Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Today is yesterday tomorrow. That's only valid today. If you read that tomorrow, then it's already yesterday.
zapatos Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy.

Joatmon Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Most computers cannot generate random numbers! Throwing a die (dice) produces numbers at random. record the results of throwing a die and present it as a list of random numbers and the result may well fail tests of randomness!
Xittenn Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 I'm still tripping on that wave daddy-o! My obsequence is remitting me to past performances and redressed mentality . . . . backwards compatibility will only serve to preserve, not conserve, all that I call identity in a formal nature, a manner of self denial . . . . why am I on trial?
Leader Bee Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Throwing a die (dice) produces numbers at random. As a die has pre-determined numbers written on it's faces i'm not 100% sure this is strictly true
Xittenn Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 Vicarious - by ~xittenn Vicarious, I just needed oust of my place Replace, my distaste, with bitter sweet sounds of sentence Relentless, you ripped out pages from the book to hook your message to the masses I'm still choking on your wake, sound quakes boom my ears like you boxed 'em I regret to this day, I slay myself for winning but hey Regretless keeps me busy, Revered steady Reverent in days of decay light years away, It's not over yet 'K, you slay me, funny thing I slay me too Remember sitting in a patio chair, lavishly in a patio chair, sipping lemonade Reality laughing learily about his moor or mood, too much food for thought pro-wrought his digestion No connection to Retirement, Reflection on pension or eternal ascension to becoming Vicarious . . . .
Joatmon Posted March 22, 2012 Posted March 22, 2012 (edited) As a die has pre-determined numbers written on it's faces i'm not 100% sure this is strictly true It seems the point may be more debatable than I thought:- "There are three equal and unverifiable explanations: 1)That the outcome is random, no order being possible ever to find. 2)The outcome is Divinely ordered and only the Divine knows the secret of the next dice roll. 3)Your personal energy and will go into your throw and that interacts with everything else around to express the total situation. If your will is focused sharply you will get the roll your will demands". This cut from the link:-http://www.stars-n-d...com/random.html I personally favour the first on the list. Examples:- line 4, it seems to me, should use" thee" or "thou" and line 10 "Thou" ? Edited March 23, 2012 by Joatmon

Phi for All Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 But not look too hard for the end! I don't mind people looking at my hard end.
