An explorer encounters an isolated tribe in the Amazon. This tribe however, is cannibalistic and are hungry.

However, they say to the explorer "You may choose how you are eaten: If your next statement is the true, we will cut your head off. If you lie, we will boil you alive. If we think your trying to confuse is in any way, we will boil you alive".

What is the only way they would be forced to let the explorer go?

Because if they DO boil him alive, it will be the truth and they had to chop his head off instead, so they can't boil him alive.

Actually, they can do both as chopping his head off is still possible after boiling him, as that part didn't state him to be alive.
