questionposter Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 An explorer encounters an isolated tribe in the Amazon. This tribe however, is cannibalistic and are hungry. However, they say to the explorer "You may choose how you are eaten: If your next statement is the true, we will cut your head off. If you lie, we will boil you alive. If we think your trying to confuse is in any way, we will boil you alive". What is the only way they would be forced to let the explorer go?
questionposter Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 Sorry, second to last "is" should be "us".
questionposter Posted March 23, 2012 Author Posted March 23, 2012 You will boil me alive. yep, but do you know why?
Fuzzwood Posted March 23, 2012 Posted March 23, 2012 (edited) Because if they DO boil him alive, it will be the truth and they had to chop his head off instead, so they can't boil him alive. Actually, they can do both as chopping his head off is still possible after boiling him, as that part didn't state him to be alive. Edited March 23, 2012 by Fuzzwood
