If they fix the problems with it they will have solved all the world's energy problems. well, everybody else is doing that. that's actually my final resolve. what i have in mind though is about particle accelerators.........but as a high school student i might find a little bit of difficulty in that topic..... thanks for the advice anyway...

[/quote'] Oh, I don't know about that. The basics of particle accelerators aren't all that difficult compared to fusion. You could discuss the various designs and advantages/disadvantages (e.g. linear vs circular). SLAC, TRIUMF, CERN, DESY, the Tevatron at Fermilab - there are several. (pause to Google) Wow! There are a whole bunch! I imagine their websites (which are linked) have explanations of how they work and what they do.
