quinn farhessi Posted April 22, 2012 Posted April 22, 2012 With all the hype, it's refreshing to see 3D-Printing's application to the "hard-sciences". A research team from University of Glasgow has used arudimentary 3d-printer to create their own customized labware --what they call 'reactionware' I can imagine this taking off in Academica, and maybe even in the industrial sector. Check out the full article at Glasgow-3D-Printer.
Cryptonomicon Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 Wow, that's pretty cool. I bet in 10 years time 3D printers are going to be everywhere. I need to get into the 3D model / schematics business
ecoli Posted June 21, 2012 Posted June 21, 2012 i'd be surprised if it takes 10 years to become widespread. Anyone can already use 3d printing through online companies.
