Not knowing is what allows us to live and make plans and think about the future and all the good stuff like that. As for swallowing the fact that 99.99999% of the population won't give a damn that I'm dead...well that's easy. It just means that 99.99999% of the world agrees with me, because when I'm dead, I won't give a damn either. Personally, I see the future stratching out before me like a long stretchy thing with lots of days, but not enough ice cream and almost no magic fish.
