While claims are down, the rate was 8.1% in April. http://data.bls.gov/pdq/SurveyOutputServlet?request_action=wh&graph_name=LN_cpsbref3

Apparently more than 69k (# of new jobs created) people started looking for work in May. Or it could be the 21k government jobs that were eliminated.

A move from 8.1 to 8.2, last I checked, is up. Even the Washington Post agrees.
