Some dietists talk about putting the body on 'fat burn mode' by having certain diet specially on breakfast in order to lose weight; instead of typical breakfast meals that put the body in a starving 'fat storing mode'

How such 'modes' can be detected ? By some blood analysis; or urine analysis, sugar levels, or what ?
