Since that post was a direct reply to my question aboveI took the emboldened part to mean yes.

 

I am attempting to clarify any ambiguity in my response. I was thinking of physics. Physics definitions tend to have a mathematical basis.

Time is a physical definition like mass and length. We can make our time by using a clock. Atomic clock is used for measuring our time. Why do we use the atomic clock as our standard time? We live in the atom(containing electron, proton, neutron and photon) based word. And until now, atomic clock has fitted well on the predicted value of Relativity theory.
