Barcodes are just a font like Arial, Times New Roman, Courier, etc. You need to obtain the GS1-128 barcode font from the vendor of your choice, install it and then use it in your document like any other font.

Hi

GS1-128 formerly EAN128 Barcode fonts are available to download from a number of sources. You may also want to consider professional barcode printing software which provides a much greater degree of control over symbology settings.

Does anyone know how to add the GS1-128 barcode to a document?

First, we need to know what the “document” referred to? If you are working on word and excel, I agree with the recommendation above since I used it before.

Basically, you can check this barcode add-in which supports add the Applications Identifiers to a Code 128 for a GS1-128 symbol.

But it seems only for Excel 2007, what about 2003 version?

actually, nowadays many people use 2007 version
