shufeng-zhang Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 What could you do when you want to get a physics paper, when you didn't subscribe the Journal? ( Several days ago, a professor of Europe asked for my paper "title and publication deleted" via E-mail, I send this paper to him. url and email deleted) no advertising of speculations subjects outside of speculations
swansont Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 Go to the library. If they don't subscribe, the librarian can contact another library which does. Or you can contact the author directly, as you describe here. Especially back before ArXiv and pdfs, one would get extra copies of an article to send out to people who asked.
ajb Posted July 7, 2012 Posted July 7, 2012 I have had some luck in the past asking for people to send me offprints of their papers. People have also sent me scans of papers when asked.
