I have light brown hair with occasional blond hairs in it.

My mom has brown hair and a blonde brother and sister

My dad has black hair and a blonde mother

What are my chances of carrying the blonde gene?

I am thinking that it is not as simple as a "blonde gene" and it would heavily depend on whether or not your mate has the tendency to be blonde. if your mate is blonde I would say there is a very good chance of it, if how ever your mate is not blonde and has no recent blonde ancestors it becomes a bit more iffy...

I see no reason to say it's impossible however...

Assuming my mate is fully blonde. What would it be, 50%?

I am not a genetisist but maybe can help you a little. Suppose all creatures have similar genes. I wanted to breed white poodle from black which had only black and brown in pedigree. Third generation brought me whites. So you have Cc (C - color, c-colorless), you blond mate has cc

Cc +cc = Cc, Cc, Cc, cc

You see it would be 25%.

Um...Cc+cc=Cc, Cc, cc, cc

So yeah, 50%
