If you read the followng announcement: 'Scientists have determined that space, time, and energy were all part of the same thing.' What ideas would go thru your mind?

My first thought would be: That's plausible. I can't think of a place in the observable univers were one exists without the other. Space, time, and energy could be one and the same.

That would imply to me that those things would remain in proportion to each other. If one increased in quantity, then all would increase in quantity.

We know that energy travels in space in the form of photons, gamma rays, and neutrinos, among other things. The products from the very first nuclear fusion events following the big bang, most would still in transit somewhere. Its hard to stop a neutrino. Their numbers are great, so the space associated with these particles would be great also.

I would reason that, since the universe is expanding, more space is being added to the universe. This would probably be the result of energy being produced by nuclear fusion in the stars and being released into the universe. If the expansion happens to be accelerating, then the total number of fusion events at any one time must be increasing.

I have more, but this is a good point to break and ask if anyone else has any ideas to add or comments to make.
