Drug addict Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I have no clue how pharmacist payment works. Assuming you have health insurance, when you get a prescription dispensed (which is covered by your insurance), do you pay the pharmacist? (and then claim the money back from the insurance company)
Silencer Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 I imagine that this may vary between drug stores, but for CVS, their mark up is included in the total price (like every other product). So if you insurance will cover the entire cost, then there is no charge to you.
Drug addict Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 So it's more bureaucratic for the pharmacy as there are lots of different insurance companies they have to deal with?
The_simpsons Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Here in Sweden you pay to a limit each year, if you pay more then 200 dollars (more a less) in the pharmacy in the same year, any medication is for free for the whole year after you paid that sum. If you are younger then 18 i think you have a lower limit.
