budullewraagh Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 yeah but for ALL your music? if i want to i just shuffle my songs on my own ipod
Dave Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 what specs does one have? http://www.apple.com/macmini/ should give you the details you require. In regards to the iPod shuffle, if you don't have a display on it, then how are you going to know what order the songs come in? A lot of people just want to shove a load of tracks on there that they want to listen to that day; they don't necessarily care which order they're played in. Apple's playing a good business game. I would not be surprised to see their PC market share increase in the next couple of years because of the iPod and the new consumer-level stuff they're bringing in.
MolecularMan14 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Does it really work? Anybody got one for free or know sombody who has? yes, Kevin Rose got one
vixenell Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 The shuffle feature is optional: you can choose the order in which the songs are placed on the iPod if you want, and you can choose to play them in order. It was designed for athletes, so there is very little need for an LCD display. The macmini is a G4, so it should be pretty powerful-- the reason it is so cheap is because it doesn't have an expensive monitor (which makes up much of the cost for other macs) and keyboard/mouse, so people who have yet to experience macs or who have laptops, but don't want to fully upgrade can use what they likely have laying around the house (i mean, really, who doesn't have an extra monitor/keyboard laying around) to use with a brand new computer.
