pcalton Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I'm such a newbie. This only my second post on this site. So, my communications with the scientific-minded is very limited in time and depth. My opinions are hardly of extensive experience and educational discipline. Taking what think as a grain of salt mya be an overestimate of its worth. I've come to these forums as a result of trying to find a better fit than I've had on other forums. I am counting on this community to read my stuff and perhaps point me to where I might fit in. I have been having mind's-eye like data-flows resulting from imagination and meditation practices for 30-years. They have excited me, scared me, revealed to me and I can induce them, reduce and stop them, keep them secret, or try to process them. They often seem irrational, counter-intuitive or just hyper-imagainitive, assured. Thus far I believe I've said enough to push many scientific-minded folks away and this only an explanation of one way my stuff comes to me. How about you folks, is this too much too quick? Should I venture away?
Ophiolite Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 I have been having mind's-eye like data-flows resulting from imagination and meditation practices for 30-years. I have no idea what you mean. One of the key steps to being accepted and listened to is to be able to express yourself clearly. For me you fail totally in this quoted statement. Do you want to give it another try?
swansont Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 ! Moderator Note Split from "Why are scientists seemingly reluctant to accept new ideas? " I have no earthy idea what to call it. I will change the title if pcalton (and only pcalton) has an appropriate suggestion
John Cuthber Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Logically, this thread will keep it's title. Swansont says "I will change the title if pcalton (and only pcalton) has an appropriate suggestion" However I also have an appropriate suggestion for the title which falsifies the clause that "only pcalton has an appropriate suggestion". So there's no point in me telling you all what that suggestion might be.
michel123456 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 That's a blank made of 20 letters. What an achievement.
JohnB Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 This thread has no title? So what? I went through the desert on a horse with no name. 1
too-open-minded Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 It felt good to be out of the rain . Pcalton, I have a feeling me and you are going to be good friends. As long as you reassure everyone that you are only brainstorming and trying to collaborate without pushing your own pet hypotheses, you will do fine here. Its worked for me anyways.

For me you fail totally in this quoted statement. Do you want to give it another The mind's-eye sometimes called "third-eye, inner-eye, a sphere of thought, abstract thinking. When I meditate I picture stuff in my mind. The images often play out and conclude problems relating to science. ! I will change the title if pcalton (and only pcalton) has an appropriate suggestion Sorry, I was looking for helpful input and failed to name it. I believe it's safe to say my ideas are out of the mainstream. You are welcome to give it a name and place it where you think the most appropriate. It felt good to be out of the rain . You've said so well, thanks.
