I went toschool for health and human performance so my biochem is not very deep. My understanding was that all of thesecompeted for the same receptors. How canthey be more potent if that is true. vampares Posted October 29, 2012 Posted October 29, 2012 IGFBP3 is the carrier protein. This carrier would limit amount of all IGF in circulation and saturation inhibit the introduction of more IGF. Using a combination of IGF's would lead to the activation of more receptors (which may or may not be absolutely specific) provided the IGF is not an endogenous antagonist.
