I think the product is: 2bromoheptane-O +OHNa I also think its an Sn2 reaction Am I doing this right? hypervalent_iodine Posted November 3, 2012 Posted November 3, 2012 What exactly is 2-bromoheptane-O? Draw out your starting materials and try to figure out a mechanism. Currently what you have doesn't seem right, so if you can put the image on here, that would be handy so we know where you've gone wrong.
