Vincin Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 I understand Symbiosis is two creatures of some sort living off each other in a way the benefits them both, and is overall keeping their species stable. My question is, does anyone have any good examples of this? Or ideas of good articles? I need information for a test, and I don't want to have to sift through misleading google searches Thanks in advance. Correction. I didn't mean to put the section "benefits them both", only mutualistically. Stability also isn't guaranteed. Question still stands
jeskill Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 Why don't you search for these concepts in Web of Science? That way you'll find peer reviewed papers on the subject that are actually useful.

Question still stands I actually know of a great example of this, anemones, anemone fish and the zooxanthellae that live in the anemone, kinda of a three for... There is also a large jelly fish called a cannon ball jelly fish that I think is at least partially sun powered, i have discussed this with a couple of marine biologists and they agree it is a interesting possibility. Keeping them in captivity to study them is a challenge...

Sounds rather interesting.
