casscass Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Hello, I'm the lab we are using addition curing with a platinum catalyst to synthesize silicone. The problem is we are still trying to find the most efficient recipe so we have to add catalyst little by little until it works. However, sometimes it never works no matter how much catalyst is added. What do you think is the problem? Do you think that by adding the catalyst little by little I am blocking further reactions from occuring by forming to many catalysed reactions at once? Please let me know what you think.
