Am I screwed, or is there any way at all to improve my range again? Knowing that sound will never be as crisp as it once was is extremely disconcerting. It's just so cilia. It's no theory. [edit] And your sound hardware has to be good enough as well.... most headphones and speakers people have on their computers ain't that superb. I just have nice headphones. 22kHz can be achieved on any new computer with a good headset. Not expensive by any means, but every gamer should have one.
