JaKiri Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 It's a difficult choice; a larger avatar means a greater internet presence, and therefore a reinforcement of the self, whilst a christmas avatar means conformity and stability in the crowd.
alt_f13 Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 In your face, people without christmas avatars. I've had an xmas avatar all year. It's like string lights in July. They make your house look chic and newfangled. [edit] santa's a jew What the hell? Santa's a hindu, beeeyotch.
bloodhound Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 then it looks like no xmas avatar for me.
Gilded Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 It seems quite many have taken the hat off the current logo of SFN and just put it in their avatars. You lazy buggers!
Sayonara Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I'll have you know that layering images in Paint is no simple task.
Gilded Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 "I'll have you know that layering images in Paint is no simple task." Yeah. You did that with Paint and I'm the president of Algeria.
Sayonara Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Seriously. I have the bitmaps to prove it. (Had I been at home at the time, and not at work, it would of course have been photoshopped.)
Gilded Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Oh you were at work. Well I can imagine people haven't got better things to do at work. ) What do you do there anyway? (Work and avatar-making obviously, but what kind of work)
Sayonara Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Well I can imagine people haven't got better things to do at work. My grammar nazi thread attests to that What do you do there anyway? (Work and avatar-making obviously, but what kind of work) Business analysis and change management.
JaKiri Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 I did mine in a paint style, but paint can't do animated gifs so it was done in the animation studio of PSP8.
bloodhound Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 AH . is the animation studio of PSP better than the imageready which comes with PS?
bloodhound Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 i tend to stick with Adobe as much as i can, and then go to macromedia for some stuff.
Sayonara Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 AH . is the animation studio of PSP better than the imageready which comes with PS? Yes, for simple GIFs. For production-level graphics, no.
JaKiri Posted December 17, 2004 Posted December 17, 2004 Photoshop is better, but the Animation Shop did everything I needed.
MolecularMan14 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 WTF happened to the corner logo? Did it melt? ...it will be missed...
MolecularMan14 Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 ahh...back, good and refreshing What happened to it?
Gilded Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 Talking about defrost, we got about +3 Celsius here and no snow at all anymore, quite an unusual December weather in Finland. ( Just when you thought you could launch the megaüber rockets of DOOOOOM from big snow piles, you have to launch them from your hand (launching racks are for n00bs, as we all know ).
