Electro magnetic engines

From what i've gathered their already patented and have more horsepower than the average combustion engine.

 

Any thoughts on if this might take off or why it hasn't yet?

Are you talking about normal electric engines? Or any specific new type of electric engine?

 

I doubt that the power output of any engine is related to the type. The largest combustion engines are really huge... Jet engines are combustion engines. The largest are more than 100,000 hp.

 

The efficiency of electric engines is very high. They are used a LOT... just not on cars, because the bottleneck is the availability of electricity.

That link sounds very much like perpetual motion which according to current knowledge is impossible.

The internet pisses me off

Blame the TV news. Over-unity devices have always grabbed the attention of people who get hyped up on conspiracies and misunderstood science. TV news keeps doing stories on these scam artists, knowing you won't change channels if you think this time, with this combination of never-before-in-the-history-of-the-world techniques, this guy may have just cracked "the secret" of overcoming a basic physical principle. After all, everyone knows we're overlooking something really simple, something that just anyone off the street could stumble upon and give the world free energy, right?

Well then, the TV news pisses me off. If only that was right phi, if only that was right.
