Hi all

I have to answer a question and I could not find much information so I have come here to be saved.

The integral value of a proton signal is the same as the no. of protons that give that signal, but what other factors influence signal intensity? and how can these factors be take into account in nmr measurements?

Would I be right in saying background noise is a factor? Is that correct and if so is that the only factor?

Many thanks guys

The intensity of a sample depends on the sample's concentration as well as the number of scans that are done, the more scans the higher signal to noise ratio
