Einstein- the most influential scientist in the modern era. His ideas about space and time are fundamental in modern physics. Also important are his early contributions to quantum mechanics and statistical physics.

 

Feynman- another very influential scientist. His biggest contribution is the path integral approach to quantisation. This method is key in modern quantum physics and has become important in mathematics.

 

Edison- inverter of the first commercially practical incandescent light. Great engineer and business who shaped the modern electric world.

 

Tesla- again another great engineer who helped develop our electric world. he is best known for his work on alternating current electrical supply systems. Not so good as a scientist.
