shuseel Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Is networking an operating system? If yes how it works?
Pantaz Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Many people here will be quite happy to help if you show that you are at least trying to do your own work, but do not expect to be spoon-fed answers to your homework.
shuseel Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 It is not homework sir, it is the question of my last exam but i have not found solution of that.
caKus Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 It would be a good start if you can define what, in your opinion, is networking and and what is an operationg system.
shuseel Posted January 6, 2013 Author Posted January 6, 2013 In my opinion Operating system is a system software which gives platform to run for all application programs and which act as the interface between user and computer. And the networking is the interconnection of computers by using a wired or wireless media. but what is the relation between networking and operating system.
alpha2cen Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) Is networking an operating system? If yes how it works? Good idea. Similar. Operating system -- A computer hardware connections+ software connections. Networking --- Computers connections + other connections. Edited January 6, 2013 by alpha2cen 2

Perhaps can we say that networking involves the existence and cooperation of components of each Operating Systems of the devices participating to the network. So networking is not an OS. But an OS must includes network services in order to make a computer able to connect to a network. The cooperation of these components belonging to distinct OS is made possible thru the existence of Standards such as TCP/IP, html ... 1

Omama Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 I think that so ,, Network is not an OS , but OS has to include Network service ..
