I would not want to have a stoned colleague, but I have no problem with a stoned friend. I cannot work with somebody who is stoned, but I am perfectly fine watching a movie with somebody who is stoned :)

 

Therefore:

- If marijuana is to be used as a medicine, it should be prescribed by a doctor... because either the patient should not use it right before or during work (meaning the dose is also time-of-day dependent), or the employer and colleagues should realize that their colleague will be stoned at work.

 

- If marijuana is to be used for recreational purposes, it obviously does not require a prescription, for the same reason that alcohol doesn't need a prescription. It just requires common sense: don't smoke weed before or during work, but only in the evening.

 

Since we specifically talk about medicinal marijuana, I voted "yes".
