Check out this Popsicle Stick Bridge - Holds 400 Pounds

Been searching around youtube and I haven't seen any Popsicle Stick Bridge hit 400 Pounds that weighs less than 150g. Just wanted to share my friends bridge with everyone ;P

 

 

 

 

Specs:

 

146 grams

Weight Held: 400 Pounds

Length 34 cm

 

Materials:

Popsicle Sticks
Glue

You must take into consideration that the weight is equally spread along the bridge. Imagine that if they putted weights larger than the gap between the 2 tables, the bridge would collapse only after the weight overpass the resistance of the material itself, wich is not far of what happened.

The structure would not resist a pointed weight as its centre.

I would love to retest this but the bridge exploded and i don't have time to make another replica ;P
