Externet Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 (edited) How simple or complex is it ? What amount of deeeep knowledge is needed to do such ? Or is just to read a instructional and do it as explained there ? Just an example : vinpocetine or ethyl apovincaminate; reportedly extracted from a plant vinca minor, which shows bearing a dozen chemicals; is each one an entire world of knowledge in how to extract, what proven applications has... But... comes from bark, root, fruit, flower... Where is it found in written ? Is there a 'CRC' type of fat book for such knowledge ? Or are these industrial/pharmaceutical top secrets ? How to find how is it done; if it is extremely difficult, critical, or a piece of cake; it there a standard published process guide for the example and for thousand of other processes alike ? Correct, I know peanuts about biochemistry. Edited March 2, 2013 by Externet
John Cuthber Posted March 2, 2013 Posted March 2, 2013 It rather depends on the chemicals and the plants.
