I am half way through this book (it's wonderful by the way), and am interested to find out if any of you have read it?

There is substantive section covering evidence, and overlapping cultures of Cro-Magnon and Neanderthal, and of course plausible theories why Neanderthal died out. I highly recommend this book but would like to pick up a related discourse.

Yes, though it's been a while. Good book.

If you enjoy it, I also recommend Guns, Germs and Steel, in which he expands on the question of why the Europeans were in the forefront in terms of expansion and industry.
