Severian
I am finding lately that when I am using math mode to display formulae via latex that they are not showing up properly. I just get a 'missing image' red cross, whith the latex commend itself. Is anyone else finding this, or is it just me?

ydoaPs
i have the same problem. it does show up for simple things like [math]\pi, \infty, x^2[/math], but it doesn't show up on bigger things like equations.

Martin
latex doesn't seem to work for me as well; it's broken! hi Gary, I see you just joined today. Welcome to SFN! One of the real plusses of this discussion board IS in fact the LaTex feature which has worked beautifully most of the time i have been here. It encourages people who know their physics to explain things using equations (not just handwaving) to those asking questions. So just having the means to write clear equations will often steer a conversation onto a constructive, physically real, track. it is a great feature to have! I hope you stay around---especially since you are a LaTex user---until it is up and running again. The problem goes back to a software update around New Years, if I remember right.
