swansont
What have you done so far? Is there a net force on the 10 kg block?
coligro
I do understand number 8a). However how can I calculation the tension in a cord? Where do I find the variables and what equation do I have to take?
swansont
Where does the tension show up in the analysis?
coligro
I think I could solve it at my own. a) FRes=FG9kg-FG6kg-FF= 9,81 N a=FRes/25kg=0.3924 m*s-1 b) FT= 9kg*9.81-9kg*0.3924m*s-1= 85N c) FT=6kg*9.81-6kg*(-0.3924m*s-1)= 61N Have I done everything correct? daniton
what all the wired symbols,I can't understand. let's try my way from , right to left I symbolize the tension and the mass as follows m1 , t1 , m2 , t2 , m3 then follow me since the motion is to the right, m1g - t1 = m1a .......(1) t1 - t2 - ff = m2a ........(2) t2 - m3g = m3g ........ (3) solve this you will get what you need.
