thunder12 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 My question is straightforward Would my hypothetical child be ugly if the sister of my girlfriend is very ugly? I ask this because my 19 yr old girlfriend is quite attractive- blond, blue eyes, size 8, etc and yet her older sister (age 21) is fat, ugly, wears glasses. The mother was relatively pretty bud she died when my gf was at age 3 so not alot of info i can add there. Is my girlfriend capable of producing an attractive child or do i simply pass on her in the long term due to the risk of producing a dud child. I am a white male age 20, 180cm, 80kgs and look above average imo -6
StringJunky Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Your girlfriend needs a new boyfriend...she needs to pass on you for being so shallow. 6
DevilSolution Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 well it might not be ugly, but it has a high chance of retardation. 4
pwagen Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 Unless you're impregnating the sister of your girlfriend, why even bring her into the equation?
Delta1212 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 There are a lot of things that are grossly wrong with this post, and I'm not just talking about the factual misconceptions of how genetics works or the way attractiveness is determined. 1
ACG52 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 The child may or may not be ugly, but if it takes after it's father, it will be stupid and shallow. 2
krash661 Posted May 11, 2013 Posted May 11, 2013 (edited) thunder12, why is your family genetic line not involved in your thought? maybe it would become ugly from your side of the generation ? think on/about all aspects. this should be an individuals thought process. Edited May 11, 2013 by krash661
Bill Angel Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 The mother was relatively pretty bud she died when my gf was at age 3 so not alot of info i can add there. Is my girlfriend capable of producing an attractive child or do i simply pass on her in the long term due to the risk of producing a dud child? What did the mother die of? If you are concerned about genetic factors in choosing a mate, you might first consider what afflictions the child could be susceptible to inheriting, given family history of the mother AND the father.
