imatfaal Posted May 22, 2013 Posted May 22, 2013 Just a guess - they are still villiform in appearance(although clearly misdirected growth), and they form through incorrect propagation of cells and apoptosis in the crypt area of the mucosa (which is remarkably similar to juncture between the villi and the muscular mucosa in the intestine)
