Guest sundrops
3SnCl4 + 4Al(C2H5)3 -> 3Sn(C2H5)4 + 4AlCl3 In one experiment, 0.100L of SnCl4 (d=2.226g/mL) was treated with 0.189L of Al(C2H5)3, (d=0.835g/mL) What is the theoretical yield in this experiment (mass of Sn(C2H5)4)? please help! budullewraagh
let's see you try it. it's just a series of calculations. i'll give you a nudge in the right direction though. you have the amount of SnCl4 and its density. solve for its mass (DV=M). find the molar mass of SnCl4 (atomic mass of Sn+ 4*(atomic mass of Cl)). find the number of moles of SnCl4. do the same for the Sn(C2H5)4. figure out what the limiting reagent is, then the rest of it is clear cut
