robf Posted June 22, 2013 Posted June 22, 2013 If I press under my right rib where the ribcage ends, I feel this crunchy feeling under my fingers that shifts around. I wonder if I could be pressing on gallstones, or whether this is anatomically impossible given where I'm pressing my fingers. Is the gallbladder under the 10th rib? Is my suspicion the most likely one? thx

gsgs Posted June 23, 2013 Posted June 23, 2013 I think gallstones don't react on pressing, they cause pain when they obstruct the duct. Typically after eating fatty meals. However, when the gallbladder is infected or sore you might feel it with the finger pressing below the last right rib upwards
