Martin Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Was immer du tun kannst oder träumst es zu können, fang damit an! Mut hat Genie, Kraft und Zauber in sich. I learned this from an SFN poster named Freeman Goethe said it. Anyone want to make serious try at an adequate English translation "Whatever you can do, or even dream that you can, begin at once! The courage to try has its own genius, strength, and magic."
ecoli Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 This is my take...with a little help from an online translator, it's similiar to what you came up with. "That which you are now able to do, or able to dream of doing, should thereby be done at once! Courage to act is genius, strength and charm, within itself."
Deified Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 I'm a German student, so I'll have a crack at it. Interpretated quite a bit: Whether it be something you can always achieve or something you can only dream of doing, courage to begin has genius, strength and magic in itself.
