are those authors saying, that "radio bursters" are somehow similar to (long) "gamma-ray bursters" ? i.e. that the two are somehow part of the same spectrum of space phenomena ?

I read the radio bursts are mysterious, and some speculation. Since no one knows, we just have to wait and see.
